Re-written Reformed
The month of April has been eventful and an exciting one for us at Lend A Hand Africa and we will continue to do our best to reach out to as many as we can, one child at a time.
The Start of the second quarter of the year 2022, started with the conclusion and announcement of our partnership with femmconnectAz; a Non-governmental Organization based in South Africa. The main purpose of this partnership is to further strengthen the Pad For a Girl Drive Initiative to help put an end to period poverty that is prevalent in Nigeria and south Africa.
Our Beneficiaries also returned to school for the start of the new session in their various schools and the amazing part of it all is that we were able to add another child to the Scholarship Scheme. Her name is Treasure, a 5 year old who has never been to school, she’ll be attending school for the first time under our care. We cannot wait to keep sharing the great exploits of LAHA’s precious gems as they do us proud not just in their academics but also in extracurricular activities that they engage in and outside of school.
In the month of April, we also received a wholesome package from Lagos Food Bank to compliment our efforts for the monthly Food Drive and Easter Celebration. The food distribution happened at Ikorodu, Surulere and Agege Axis of Lagos state and we were able to reach families across these under-served communities. We have other projects in the pipeline and we are doing all that is within our capacity to make sure every dream becomes reality.
Our Documentary was selected in Film Free; this is the first selection and we seek your support towards “I Bleed Different”. This project means a lot to the voices who are hoping and praying for a change. Do lend your hands with us as this Documentary is showcased on a global stage.
This journey has been one, not just for us but also for all our Laha-kids and beneficiaries whose stories are being rewritten and transformed.
Lend A Hand For Africa won’t stop until our vision and mission is accomplished with each child being able to stand strong on their two feet and also hold others up to greatness.
