It’s year 2022! We are happy and glad to be in it. Welcome to our best year yet and we wish you a Prosperous Happy New Year.
We are still in gratitude for all the Lord has done for us from the beginning thus far, we are a living testimony of the goodness of the Lord. We did taste and we’ve seen that the Lord is good and kind to us and in this reality do we work in year 2022 in obedience to all He Has placed on our hands to do, giving due diligence in ensuring that year 2022 is a successful year.
The year started for us with adding a teenage girl to our Empowerment and Acquisition Scheme. For a community where teenage pregnancy and prostitution is rampant, we are giving our best to ensure that this menace is reduced one child at a time. To anyone it could be a girl just learning a skill, to us it’s giving her a reason to be different, valued and inspired. We started with one child this month and we hope that we will add more to this scheme as the year unfolds.
On the scholarship scheme, we also added a male child who currently gained admission into the university. This is one amongst all other things that gives us a reason to go for more. Education is extremely important and we will continually give ourselves to it’s cause.
As it’s our culture in LAHA, we properly guide and care for all our beneficiaries on the scholarship scheme. During the first week of resumption, one of our team member went round the schools to ensure that our children are comfortable and sorted any clouded issues. We also had an interactive session with the children just to be sure that they are good, happy and well prepared for the term. Also, we ensured that bills like tuition fees and all others were duly paid for.
Furthermore, we had our food drive this month. We were able to give food supplies to all our beneficiaries ensuring that families do not have to compromise on the children’s education just so they can have food to eat. We are solely dedicated to the lives of our beneficiaries in and outside school ensuring that they are dedicated to their education effectively.
We have more upcoming projects this year as so much needs to be done, so stay tuned and don’t give up on us just yet. Thank you for being a part of our story, you are truly LAHA’s family.
